Ossipee Town Hall - 55 Main Street
Ossipee, NH

Over the last several months, the Town of Ossipee, with the Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee, has been working to update Ossipee’s Hazard Mitigation Plan.  The Plan identifies potential natural and man-made hazards throughout the town and various projects and/or strategies to mitigate their effects.  The President signed into law, the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA), Section 322-Mitigation Planning.  It requires all local governments to prepare and adopt jurisdiction-wide hazard mitigation plans as a condition of receiving Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) project grants.

All residents, neighboring communities, businesses, and interested parties are formally invited to review a draft of the Updated Plan and publicly comment on their concerns regarding the Plan.  The second planning meeting is scheduled for August 22 at 9am at the Ossipee Town Hall.

For more information please contact Dana Cullen Jr, Ossipee Emergency Management Director at 603-539-4181 or via email at dcull74@hotmail.com.
